AI for Real Estate Agents: Set Up Claude as Your Marketing Manager

If you're a solo agent doing your own marketing, Claude, as your AI marketing manager, can take a lot of the load off you, improve the quality of your marketing, and cut a lot of the time you put into it. Here's how to set it up in five steps, from your first prompt to a Claude that remembers your business. It's my favorite use of AI for real estate agents, and every step happens in plain English.

Why Claude makes a good AI marketing manager

A good marketing manager knows your business, your market and the way you talk. They plan the work, write the first draft and keep everything moving. Claude can fill that role for you.

Claude can hold your business context, connect to the apps you already use, and learn jobs you teach it once. Put those together and a chat window starts working like a marketing manager.

And the setup is made for people who sell homes for a living. You type what you want, the way you'd say it to an assistant. Claude drafts, and you approve before anything goes out.

Your first prompt: what makes a good one

The fastest way to see what Claude can do is to give it a real job, like a listing description, a post for an open house or an email to a past client.

A good prompt reads like a clear brief to a new assistant. Say what the job is and where it's going, whether that's the MLS, Instagram or an email. Give Claude the facts it needs, the same ones you'd jot down for yourself. Then say how it should sound and how long it should be.

Claude writes the draft in seconds. If something's off, tell it what to change, the way you'd give feedback to a person. The more clearly you brief it, the closer the first draft lands to what you'd write yourself.

Give Claude your business context in a Project

Starting every chat from zero is a big reason AI copy sounds generic. A Project solves that.

A Project is a workspace in Claude with its own instructions and files. You add your business context once: your market, the neighborhoods you work, your brokerage, a few past listings, some emails you've written, and how you like to sound. Every chat inside that Project starts with all of it.

Each Project also keeps its own memory, separate from your other chats. I recommend one Project for your marketing, so all of that work lives in one place and builds on itself.

Connect Claude to the apps you use

Your business already lives in your apps: your email, your files, your calendar and your CRM. Connecting them lets Claude work with what's there.

Once an app is connected, Claude can find what you need inside it and draft the next step for you. It can pull up a past listing packet, catch up on an email thread with a buyer, or check a contact in your CRM before you call.

Each connection takes a few clicks in Claude's settings. For actions like sending an email, Claude asks for your approval first by default, so you stay in control of what goes out.

Skills: teach Claude a job once

Skills are the big idea behind turning Claude into a marketing manager. A skill is a saved set of instructions for one job. You build it once, and Claude follows it every time that job comes up.

Skills work on every Claude plan, including the free one. First you turn on one setting, called code execution and file creation. You build each skill with Claude's help, in plain English, and then add it to your account.

A Business Brain is a good example. It's a skill that holds who you serve, the areas you work, what makes you different, your voice and your rules. Every other job draws on it, so your listing posts, emails and replies all sound like you.

Turn on memory

Memory is the last step, and it's the one that makes Claude feel like it's been working with you for months.

With memory on, Claude saves what it learns about you and your business as you chat, and brings it into new conversations. Inside a Project, that memory stays with the Project.

On the Free, Pro and Max plans, memory is on by default. You can check it, pause it or reset it any time in Settings, under Memory.

Running your marketing from one place

Once these five steps are in place, Claude knows your business, works with your apps, and handles the jobs you've taught it. That's an AI marketing manager, set up by a real estate agent, in plain English.

Inside The 10-Hour Marketing Team program, you learn how to set up every step on this list, get the most out of each one, and run most of your marketing from Claude, your marketing command center.
